The sawmill can accommodate logs up to 34″ in diameter and up to 16′ long.  The mill is fully mobile, so we can cut your lumber at your place, or at ours.

Your Site Milling

  • Travel to your site is charged at $50 per hour (or part thereof) after the first 30 minutes
  • There is a $50 mill setup fee on your site – this includes your first blade
  • Milling is charged at $50 per hour in 1/2 hour increments
  • Blades are $50 per blade change, with the first blade being included in the setup fee

Travel and setup fees are due in advance.  Milling and blade changes are due on the day of milling.  Payment can be made by cash, e-transfer, credit card or debit.  Credit card and debit card payments are subject to a 2% additional fee.

Your Site Requirements

  • Log Handling: Milling on a customer site requires that there is a method available to move the logs to the sawmill. Loading can be accomplished via the winch and ramps, but no log moving will be provided.  In the absence of log moving capabilities, logs can be pre-stacked in a location that the mill can be set up directly in front of.  Loading will be accomplished via rolling and winch \ ramps.
  • Material Handling: Customer to provide at least one, preferably two people for handling the cut-offs and milled lumber.
  • Waste: Cut-off slabs and sawdust are left on site for the customer to dispose of

Our Site Milling

Lumber milling can be done at our site and saves the customer the cost of travel and setup.  There is also no waste handling and mess to cleanup for the customer.  Rates are $50 per hour billed iin 1/2 hour increments, and $50 per blade change (first blade is included).

Our Site Requirements

  • Log Handling: The customer is responsible for the transport of logs to the site.  Once the logs are onsite, we will be able to move and load the logs using the tractor.  Arrangements can be made for pickup if the customer cannot transport the logs – see Pickup & Delivery below
  • Material Handling: Customer to provide at least one, preferably two people for handling the cut-offs and milled lumber. The customer is responsible for removing milled material from the site same day, or otherwise as agreed.  Arrangements can also be made for delivery as needed – see Pickup & Delivery below
  • Waste: Waste materials can be left on-site. That being said – if the customer wants to take any of the cut-off material, they may do so.
  • Drop Off: If a customer wants to simply drop off the logs and pick up the finished material, this can be accommodated at our discretion. There is no additional charge for log handling and material handling other than the fact that it will affect the amount of time required to mill logs.

Pickup & Delivery

Log pickup and material delivery services are available at an additional fee following the same rule of 50s.

  • Travel to site: $50 per hour of travel or part thereof (as estimated by google maps)
  • Log Loading: Log loading is billed at $50 per hour or part thereof. Unloading of the logs at our site is covered by the hourly milling charge. If the customer supplies their own equipment for log loading at their site, then the first 90 minutes are not charged.
  • Material Unloading: Unloading on delivery is the responsibility of the customer and is not billed. Excessive unloading times (> 1 hour) will be billed at $50 per hour for each subsequent hour after the first (billed in 1/2 hour increments).

Travel fees are due in advance.  Loading charges are due on the day of loading.  Payment is to be made by cash, e-transfer, credit card or debit.  Credit card and debit card payments are subject to a 2% processing fee.
